America's Career Kit

The U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Administration, in close partnership with the States, has developed several websites that offer comprehensive and easily accessible online employment and training resources. Together, these websites make up the America's Career Kit:

America's Job Bank is the world's largest pool of active job opportunities. America's Job Bank, with more than 1.5 million job openings listed by major corporations and small businesses throughout the U.S. New jobs are added daily and job seekers can post résumés electronically and reach employers all across the country. Access is free.

America's Career InfoNet includes a wealth of information on job trends, wages, and national and local labor markets, as well as other valuable occupational, economic, and demographic data. Its Career Resource Library provides links to other Internet-based resources. An electronic storehouse of national, state and metro labor market data not available elsewhere. America's Career InfoNet accesses information from the Department of Labor's America's Labor Market Information System database.

America's Service Locator helps you locate public service offices with information on finding a job, planning a career, locating training, dealing with job loss and recruiting employees. Just type in your address to get a map and driving directions to the nearest location providing the services you're seeking.

O*Net is a powerful, up-to-date database with descriptions and skills sets for specific occupations. O*NET information helps workers evaluate what new skills will be required to make the transition to a new occupation.
