You Name It, NJ Has It - The Garden State has attracted 400 warehouses and storage facilities for companies such as Mercedes-Benz and Barnes & Noble. By 2010 five areas in the state are expected to grow faster then the regional average in the warehouse/distribution industry. Growth within these areas is expected to remain high as more Brownfield properties are renovated. We take a closer look at many of the state’s thriving warehouses and how they are benefiting from the New Jersey Brownfields Redevelopment Task Force.
Taking Flight - The skies are looking clear for the state’s major international airports and 47 general aviation facilities. Over 24,000 people are employed at the airport. Newark-Liberty International contributes $11.3 billion in economic activity to the NY/NJ Metropolitan area. We visit this airport to learn about a variety of improvements to New Jersey’s airport system as well as a number of other issues raised in the Long-Range Transportation Plan.
