Tito Rodriguez and Machito took dancers, of different nationalities and cultures, to the ultimate dance euphoria, a level of social and spontaneous dance movements unmatched in the history of Latin music. Today, a new generation of Mambo dancers are reliving the Palladium era by performing exceptional dance combinations in partner work and group dances. This program features some of the best dancers of the modern era in a special tribute to the sensational dancers of the Palladium. Highlighted by the world famous dance company, Ballet Hispanico, the program is a visual journey of vintage footage adorned with outstanding performances taped at the Joyce Theater in New York.
