Tribute to Hector Lavoe (3404)

A movie is being made by Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez in honor of Hector Lavoe, one of the greatest vocalists in the history of Latin music. An off Broadway production drew outstanding reviews as it outlined the life of a man simply known as “El Cantante” (The Singer). At a sold out Madison Square Garden, thousands of fans echoed his songs in a tribute by Latin music super stars. This program joins in celebrating the life of Hector Lavoe, a talented master vocalist who gained fame all over the world yet lived and died a troubled young man.
