This program pays tribute to the outstanding contributions Latinas in New Jersey have made to the Garden State . Featured is the story of Mary De Castro Blake, a humble, passionate and determined woman who never took "No" for answer. She opened the closed doors of higher education for Latino students at Rutgers University in Newark during the 1960s and '70s.
