Leida Arce
Host

Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Leida Arce moved to New Jersey with her family when she was a child. As one of the youngest in a household of nine children, Leida learned to become creative and resourceful. Confirming at an early age that she carried an artists’ spirit, she fondly remembers devising games for herself and her sisters, “acting” out scenes from television shows they had watched.

Today, Leida is an actor, a poet, and a writer. In 1994, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University. Since then, she has studied Acting, Theatre/Cinema and Directing in both New York City and Los Angeles. She has also worked in the Communications, Public Relations and Government fields at various companies in New Jersey, New York and California.

Leida’s dream has always been to touch peoples’ lives – to inspire, to educate, and to enlighten viewers everywhere. As Host for Images/Imagenes, she has realized her lifelong dream and is proud to be a member of the NJN team.
