She was a “people’s lawyer,” a Rutgers Law School graduate who spent her career defending radicals and revolutionaries. But her biggest case – the federal defense of the dreaded “blind sheikh” – would turn her from defense attorney to defendant.

Sandra King speaks to Stewart at her Brooklyn home, where she awaits the disposition of appeals.
