Gay Marriage Decision
Show #1115
A special edition of Due Process, on the heels of the State Supreme Court ruling that gay and lesbian couples are entitled to all of the rights and benefits heterosexual married couples have – except, perhaps, the term ‘marriage.’ That decision is assigned to the Legislature which has 180 days to decide whether New Jersey will grant gays and lesbians the right to marriage, civil unions, or something else. Sandy King gets reactions from both sides of the aisle, and hosts a passionate panel composed of plaintiffs’ lawyer Larry Lustberg, State Assemblyman Michael Doherty, and Eagleton political analyst Tim Vercellotti.
