“Under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance survived a court challenge. Gay marriage made an impact … and not just in Massachusetts. An elderly driver, who lost control of his car, was ordered to stand trial for manslaughter. Needle exchange got a shot in New Jersey from an outgoing Governor.
