Air Profiling
Show # 902
On New Years Eve 2001, an American citizen a Hindu of Indian extraction found himself removed from a Continental Airlines flight, without apology along with two other Asian men he did not know - because a fellow passenger was uncomfortable flying with those brown-skinned men. Michael Dasraths experience is the basis for an ACLU suit which could not only win him damages, but could also determine future airline policy on post-9/11 racial profiling. In his only TV interview, Dasrath shares his experience with Sandy King. The studio segment to follow will feature arguments on both side of the profiling question.
