The
Three Strikes Law (#504)
Three strikes
and you're in for life. That's the three year old law
that puts repeat felons behind bars for 35 years or
more. Does it make sense? Is it constitutional? Is it
fair? Is it accomplishing what its authors intended?
On this edition of Due Process, we go to New
Jersey State Prison to meet a three strikes lifer whose
record shows no violence, and we bring a prosecutor,
a professor, and a criminal defense attorney together
in the studio to argue the three strikes issues.
Guests:
Dr. Candace
McCoy
Professor, Rutgers University- School of Criminal Justice
John Kaye
Prosecutor, Monmouth County
Cathy Walder
Criminal Defense Attorney
Past President of the Assn. Of Crminal Defense Attorneys
of NJ
