Show 17STANJ - Students from across the state participate in the Speech and Theatre Association of New Jersey (STANJ) Governor's Award in Art Education competition. Each individual or team is judged based on comedy, drama and a variety of criteria to determine the best actors in the state.

Superheroes of Safety - Danielle Kovach, a second-grade teacher at Tulsa Trail School in Hopatcong, created a program that can potentially save the life of a child. Danielle created a Superheroes of Safety program and was awarded a $10,000 classroom makeover from Honeywell. More information about the project can be found at www.got2besafe.com.

alt.fuel.ed - Memorial High School students in West New York build alternative-fuel vehicles and discover the science behind how they work. Technology education teacher Ron Grosinger combined his engineering and automotive classes with Margaret Stegmann’s science class to create this alternative-fuels program.

High Tech Hall - Moodle, Google, SMART Boards, Delicious, Skype, Twitter, and Wikis -- these are all a part of the expanded High Tech Hall at the NJEA Convention. There’s so much to keep up with, but thanks to the largest educational gathering in the world, New Jersey educators have all the latest and greatest technological tools to help make them relevant and progressive in their classrooms.
