The New Jersey Education Association holds its annual Convention, with 50,000 educators expected to attend.
Authors and Honors – We’ll stop by Authors Alley, where NJEA members who are published authors are on hand with their books. And we’ll meet television writer and producer Billy Van Zandt, a 1975 graduate of Middletown High School in Monmouth County, who has received the NJEA Award for Excellence.
Commissioner Davy – Host Barbara Keshishian sits down to talk with Lucille Davy, New Jersey’s acting Education Commissioner.
Life Skills – Special education students at Mullica Township Middle School are using functional life skills by running a business. They learn about customer service, how to count money, and they invite their families for their final exam feast.
Launching into Learning – Students at Byram Intermediate Elementary School in Stanhope are blasting off into space by combining industrial arts and technology. This interdisciplinary project simulates an actual launch with a mission control station and a space shuttle.
