Everyday Math – Preschool through first grade students at Winfield School learn how to incorporate math into their lives while parents learn to incorporate math at home. Research shows that math is more meaningful when it is rooted in real life situations, especially when children are given the opportunity to become actively involved in learning.
Librarian – Ceil Freda from High School South in Middletown explains the important role a school library plays in the success of students as well as the career opportunities it affords them.
My Captain – Brienne Guirantes stands out among her fellow students at Lincoln High in Jersey City. She wrote an inspiring poem about one of her favorite teachers, Simone Shields, and was asked to recite it for the New Jersey State Board of Education and the school poetry club.
Model UN – Juniors and seniors at Vernon High School run a Model United Nations for the ninth graders who serve as delegates to the Model UN.
