sign of the timesSign of the Times - Students from Pinelands Middle and High schools teach younger students at Bass River Elementary how to sign with their hearts. The older students have multiple learning and physical disabilities, but that doesn't stop them from telling stories about firefighters through sign language. This experience teaches New Gretna children of all ages and abilities about self-esteem and confidence. This program is funded through the NJEA Frederick L. Hipp Foundation for Excellence in Education.

Gatsby Gala - Step back into the roaring 20s and live the F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel the Great Gatsby. Students at the Bridgewater-Raritan High School in Bridgewater will be participating in Charleston contests, a costume contest, and re-enacting scenes from the novel during this day-long Gatsby Gala.

Bread Science - Students at the Marlton Middle School in Evesham Township learn more about Bread Sciences. Family and Consumer Education teachers Joanne Cadden and Joan Eckert make math and science a vital ingredient in the kitchen.

Leading the Nation - New Jersey leads the nation in its efforts to improve education opportunities for economically disadvantaged children. Dave Sciarra, of the Education Law Center , explains how the Abbott Decision has turned around the education system in the poor school districts.
