# 209
2001
NJEA Convention - Each year the New Jersey Education
Association conducts the largest educational gathering
in the world. This is an opportunity for educators in
New Jersey to keep up-to-date on the latest educational
theories, technologies and innovative programs.
The
Power of Presentation - Two top presenters will
highlight the NJEA Convention. Hal Urban will explain
some of Life's Greatest Lessons, a book he wrote for
parents. And Rem Jackson, will perform a creative presentation
on "Classroom Connect", a web-based curriculum
program.
Great
Public Schools - Also featured on the show will
be highlights of some of the state's top schools. We'll
see some of the ingredients to making a Great Public
School.
James
Avery - A highlight of the convention is our visit
with James Avery. The actor grew up in Atlantic City
and his teachers inspired him to set his sights high
and reach for his dreams. Avery is one of three people
being honored by NJEA with an Award of Excellence.
