Redcoats vs. Rebels - Eight graders at Pinelands Regional School are bringing the Boston Massacre to life by staging a mock trial. The 330 students will re-enact the trial at the county courthouse. This program is funded through the NJEA Hipp Grant.

Peace Day - Students at Littlebrook Elementary in Princeton are celebrating Peace Day. As part of the celebration first and third graders are working together on a project called "Kindness Captured." The students take photographs of acts of kindness, publish and sell the books, and donate the proceeds to children's charities. Understanding Grief - Maria Trozzi, author of "Talking with Children about Loss" helps teachers understand how to help kids cope with death.

Awards of Excellence - Four NJ public school graduates were honored by the NJEA for demonstrating exceptional leadership in their field of expertise. Hear some inspirational stories about Mark Melamed's humanitarian work; Paula Danziger, an author of children's books; Lynette Harrison Brubaker, a publisher of a fashion publication; and Sherri Ozawa, a critical care nurse.
