Biracial
Children (1319)
Interracial and multi-cultural marriages and births
are on an upswing in this country, and the biracial
population is estimated at about five million.
The future of race in America has become the focus
of a current political and social movement by
mixed race children and their families, and they're
demanding recognition. We visit two of New Jersey's
most diverse communities to talk with children
about the issues and concerns they face each day
as part of this growing population. One boy authored
a book at age10 about being biracial. We'll hear
from him and his family.
