NJ
Adoption (1313)
1) First meet a couple who put aside cultural
differences and their desire to adopt a baby to
adopt two older siblings. Having already raised
children of their own, this couple still felt
a need to provide a family environment for young
children. 2) This next couple is in the adoption
process. They, too, already have 4 children of
their own, all boys. Now they're looking to add
a 5th, a girl. This couple discusses the lengthy
adoption process. 3) Then we hear from those responsible
for trying to find potential parents. They discuss
how the children come to them, recruitment efforts,
and the overwhelming fact that waiting children
are almost all children of color.
