Her
talent on and off the screen has taken her from
Harlem to Hollywood. She talks about her early
beginnings doing standup on the street, the influence
of theatre, and her special gift of laughter with
topics such as politics, the church, ebonics,
and other issues of life. Examples of each are
shown through her standup performance in Trenton
in a back and forth from interview to standup
performance.

at clips from a documentary that chronicles the
impact of the black press called "The Black
Press: Soldiers without Swords." It's producer/director
joins us in the studio to talk about how the film
came about, people involved in putting it together,
and what he hopes the film will accomplish.
