This
program begins with a look at McNair Academic
High School. It began as a desegregation project
in Jersey City to prove that the races in the
city could get along. It later became NJ Monthly
magazine's pick as the number one public high
school in the garden state. Guests in the studio
to talk about the challenges facing educators
in urban districts, how some schools are beating
the odds and achieving academic success, and some
new approaches to education.
