This edition of Another View, made possible by the generous support of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, will feature a special segment on the historic gospel choirs of New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, NJ.

For more than 100 years, Newark’s New Hope Baptist Church has been a pillar of strength and spiritual guidance for the community. The episode will celebrate the rich musically history of Newark’s New Hope Baptist Church and the artists that have emerged from its choir to achieve national popularity.

The segment will present performances by the New Hope Baptist Church Choir. In addition, the program will include studio discussion segments with gospel music scholars.
