In partnership with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Another View of the Arts highlights unique and innovative ways in which the arts are used as a tool to help guide inner-city youth. As part of the long-running Another View series, this documentary special will feature various community-based arts programs in New Jersey that are committed to giving at-risk youngsters a creative outlet for self expression.

Another View of the Arts, will highlight programs in the southern part of the state (working with the Perkins Center for the Arts ) and the northern part of the state (working with the Newark Arts Council) that are using the arts to redirect the lives of at-risk youth.

The documentary will feature interviews with students, teachers, and, art advocates and who are involved with these arts programs and are committed to improving the quality of life for at risk youth.

Programs featured include GlassRoots, an innovative program that provides area youth with opportunities to create glass art, and develop entrepreneurial and life skills.

And a unique community collaborative arts program-sponsored by the Perkins Center for the Arts that brings dramatic arts and self expression into the lives of Camden’s youth
