VIEW profiles the groundbreaking actress
Pam Grier, who was honored at the 2002
Newark Black Film Festival for her more than 30
years in the industry. Grier speaks candidly about
her movie career, her significance to the 70's
pop culture, and her struggle and ultimate triumph
over cancer.
Also meet Y. Blak Moore, a former drug
dealer from the South side of Chicago. Today he
graces the pages of the New York Times talking
about his first published novel by Random House
entitled Triple Take. Moore shares his
amazing journey from hard-knocks to poet, social
worker and author.
And with a unique sound that has been touted as
"Soul with a French Twist," the music
of Les Nubians is a combination of R&B,
jazz, Soul, Hip-Hop and African Rhythms. Another
View catches up with this dynamic sister duo from
Bordeaux, France as they talk about their craft
and their newly released CD, One Step Forward.
