Another
View, NJN's public affairs program presents
a half hour documentary celebrating the power
of music, faith and community. Meet the Sons of
Thunder, the predominately African American chorus
group from the St. Matthew A.M.E. Church in Orange,
New Jersey as they deliver their uplifting message
to troubled youths and lonely seniors, and perform
time honored hymns and spirituals as well as traditional
gospel and contemporary worship songs.
Reverend
Reginald Jackson has served as the pastor of St.
Matthew since 1981, and under the direction the
congregation has grown from approximately 150
to more than 1500 disciples who are actively engaged
in ministry, mission and outreach with a joyful
emphasis on music.
