Summit
IV: What Comes Next? (1426)
This
program focuses on Empowerment Summit IV with
a discussion on what has been learned from the
Summit and the issues of diversity. Guest Mary
Herbert discusses what makes Lucent Technologies
a great company to work for if you are a minority,
and the differences of cultural experiences and
minority businesses. Also discussed is how partnerships
are formed with different ethnic groups as a way
to avoid competing with each other for business
opportunities. After a performance clip from the
actual day of the Summit, Jonah Cooper discusses
the importance and the appearance of the cultural
expressions and how it deals with multiculturalism.
They also discuss the upcoming expectations of
diversity training, things in the works as a result
of these Summits, and Summit V which will be housed
at Rutgers University.
