Wendy Harris, a former business editor with "Black Enterprise" magazine, is the author of the book "Against All Odds." The book outlines the success stories of 10 entrepreneurs of color as they share their personal triumphs to owning their own business. Vera Moore, highlighted in the book, also joins us to share her story. Wendy discusses how the book was developed, how the business owners were selected, and what they all have in common… confidence. Vera discusses why she decided to start her own cosmetics company, and gives advice to others looking to start their own business with the main objectives and goals being to have a business plan and be persistent.
