Bone Marrow (1408)

1) First, the story of an 11-year-old boy who has been diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia. Although he is very athletic, he now has to understand the limitations of good days and bad as he waits for a bone marrow donor. A bone marrow transplant could be his only cure. 2) Guests in the studio talk about the need for people to become bone marrow donors, the impact the search can have on the patient and family, the high cost of treatment for those waiting and an organization that provides assistance. Also, another boy's journey to a happy ending… he received a transplant.
