Violence to Youth (1404)
According
to the FTC the entertainment industry markets
movies, video games and music, meant for older
audiences, to children. The film industry has
recently been under scrutiny for the way they
market their films. Many say R-rated films are
being targeting to children under 17. The industry
executives feel some reform is necessary, but
parents should be held responsible for monitoring
their children's choices. Guests discuss the effects
violent images have on children, and ways to create
a balance.
