Redistricting (1402)
After
the 1990 Census, many minority groups were missed
while some four million whites were counted twice.
The Census Bureau believes that traditional counting
methods need to be supplemented with statistical
sampling. Guests hold opposing views of this issue,
and each disputes the other's counting accuracy,
as it relates to the way legislative district
lines are drawn. Is it science, or is it guessing?
There's also an explanation of just how those
lines are drawn and how it effects legislative
representation.
