About Candace Kelley…..

Candace KelleyCandace Kelley is an Emmy-nominated and award-winning host for Another View. Through her work on the show, she has been nominated for five Emmys and was recognized by the 2004 and 2005 UNITY Awards in Media, the New Jersey Department of Human Services and the Garden State Association of Black Journalists. Since 1994 she has served as a television anchor, correspondent and producer for a number of local and national stations including Court TV, BET, NY1 News, UPN 9 News and CN8.

She has covered a range of stories, including the assassination of Pakistan's former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, New York City's mid-town steampipe explosions, and the Sean Combs trial. She has provided commentary for the nationally-syndicated radio show the Russ Parr and Olivia Foxx Show, appeared on the magazine entertainment show Extra and radio station WBLS in New York City. Candace was also named an NJN Geraldine R. Dodge fellow and worked for a year in the NJN newsroom as a reporter.

In early 2008, she was awarded the Woman of Distinction Award by the Girl Scouts of America. She is also the recipient of three national Telly Awards and two CableAce awards for writing and producing the documentaries Living Witness: Operation MOVE Philadelphia and Living Witness: Black Panther Party Recollections.

When she is not hosting the Another View, Candace writes a monthly column, Closing Argument, which covers legal issues within pop culture and appears bi-monthly in Black Star News. She also writes intellectual property articles for Lawcast and teaches a series of broadcast journalism courses at Rowan University.

Candace earned her Jurist Doctorate degree from Seton Hall University School of Law, her Masters of Science from Syracuse University's S.I Newhouse School of Public Communications, and her BA from Howard University.

Candace is currently completing the book project: Live From New York, a book about reporters and their legal rights.
