Colameco's
Food Show
Saturday at 7:30 pm • Sunday at 1:30 pm
Food as a story
is what this show is all about. Each episode is a stand-alone
theme based half-hour. The front end is shot in the field,
on location, guerilla documentary style, featuring interviews
with people on the street, chefs in their kitchens, butchers,
fishermen, farmers, and bakers. The back end features a cooking
segment based on the theme, with a few relatively simple dishes
distilled from the previous content that viewers could prepare
at home.
Entertaining, informative,
nonpretentious, these shows celebrate food and take the audience
backstage where the real action is, from four-star restaurants
to markets, farms, wholesale auctions or the anonymous noodle
guy on Pell Street. And if you want an international cast,
New York is the place to be. The most restaurants, the best
restaurants, the most diversity.
