Blessed Assurance: The Sons of Thunder

Another View, NJN's public affairs program, airs a half hour special featuring music ministry of the predominantly African-American chorus group, the Sons of Thunder, from the St. Matthew A.M.E. Church in Orange, NJ. Veteran actor Ossie Davis will narrate Blessed Assurance: The Sons of Thunder.

The program highlights the Sons of Thunder as they visit the Essex County Youth Detention Center and a local senior citizen center where they offer hope and inspiration through their joyful, heartfelt performances. The documentary follows the Sons of Thunder as they deliver their uplifting message to troubled youths and lonely seniors. The men have developed a unique bond among one another, a bond that is connected by their faith, and are committed to making a difference in the lives of the community they serve.
