Bayshore artist Glenn Rudderow, whose exquisite paintings are inspired by the lighting and landscapes of South Jersey, is featured in the half-hour NJN special. For Rudderow, the Delaware River Bayshore is as intimate as life itself – for he is part of that landscape. Rudderow fills his canvas with scenes of the bay, historic homes and churches in natural settings diffused with the unusual lighting found where water meets land. “A window looking out and looking in,” Rudderow explores the interrelationship between people and their environment. In his paintings, as in his life, it is Rudderow’s objective to experience, express and live the magic that exists around the Bayshore region.
