WHAT IS PODCASTING?
Podcasting (or iPod Broadcasting) is a web-based digital broadcast medium that makes audio content available to download onto a computer or mobile device. NJN makes it's content available for listening at your convenience and while you are on-the-move. You can subscribe to a podcast and have episodes automatically delivered to you as well.

WHAT DO I NEED TO HEAR PODCASTS?
NJN Podcasts can be played right here on the NJN website. You can listen to a variety of shows and content available at your fingertips.
Free Windows Media Player 9 software, which can be downloaded from the Windows Media Web site, is needed to hear these podcasts. You must have Windows Media Player installed so the embedded player will activate for you.
If you want to subscribe to our podcasts, you will need an aggregator or "feed reader". An aggregator basically connects to the podcast feed and downloads all necessary information and audio files for you to read and listen to at your convenience. An aggregator can be setup to be web based at a specific site or can be a downloadable program that runs on your computer.

SUBSCRIPTION INFO
Subscribing to any of NJN's podcasts is absolutely free. You'll need an aggregator to 'catch' the information and audio files for you, but that's all. Below illustrates a few buttons you'll find on the podcast pages as they are ways you can subscribe.

RSS Feeds are what carries the information from a podcast to a website or to your aggregator. These feeds are what's updated so the new information is distributed. You can simple click on the RSS Feed link on the podcast page and copy the address or url to then add to your aggregator of choice. |
