| NJN News Anchor Kent Manahan on BBC Radio Solent
On January 20, 2007, NJN News anchor Kent Manahan was a featured guest on David Allen’s BBC Radio weekend program. During the roughly 40-minute interview, Manahan spoke about the state of New Jersey as part of Allen’s Focus USA feature that links BBC Radio with radio stations across America. Manahan shared with Allen and his listeners her insights about the Garden State, from its landscapes and tourist destinations, to its standard of living and political climate. The interview, in its entirety, has been made available online.
This is not Manahan’s first broadcast experience with the UK. In the mid-1980’s, she participated in an exchange program with a public television station in the British Channel Islands. Based on the Isle of Jersey, from whence New Jersey gets its name, Manahan anchored and reported the “Stories of the Day” for the station’s nightly news broadcast.
Kent Manahan has been covering New Jersey for two decades, reporting on the events and issues that affect residents of our state. Every weekday evening, she provides in-depth news on New Jersey issues as part of NJN News, the only broadcast news program covering the entire state with an “all New Jersey” news, politics, business, health and science format.
