LIVE Breaking News: Donald Trump Mike Pence Call New Jersey Governor Chris Christie Biggest Loser

LIVE Breaking News: Donald Trump Mike Pence Call New Jersey Governor Chris Christie Biggest Loser
You might think that Hillary Clinton is the biggest loser of the presidential election this season. But in fact an even bigger loser is Chris Christie. Trumps kick boy was just demoted from handling the transition team for which he had been working on for the past 6 months.

Christie’s top aides were also sidelined. Rich Bagger, Christie’s former chief of staff, and William Palatucci, a former Christie law partner and the transition’s general counsel were demoted to advisory positions on the council. Bagger and Palatucci worked behind the scenes for months to hire transition staff, develop an infrastructure, and set policy.

Mike Pence, Sen. Jeff Sessions, newly named chief of staff Reince Priebus, political strategist Steve Bannon and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner swooped in and bulldozed the former transition teams existing work and made Cabinet decisions of their own.

Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner had it out for Christie and any loyalist associated with him. Why you ask? Because when Christie was U.S. Attorney for New Jersey he prosecuted Kushner’s father for tax evasion, witness tampering and illegal campaign contributions. Kushner’s father had to take a plea agreement which led to a two-year prison sentence.

Now how Christie didn’t see the writing on the wall just proves his own idiocy. Multiple sources indicated that Christie was demoted because he wasn’t seen as sufficiently loyal to Trump, failing to vocally defend him at key moments on the campaign trail. Christie’s effort to put some space between himself and Trump after that “Access Hollywood” video came out didn’t help. Christie called those remarks “indefensible.” With one GOP insider quoted as saying “Christie’s all about Christie; he’s not about Donald Trump.”

It all came to head when the former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers, who had been tapped by Christie to lead national security planning for the transition abruptly left or as people close to the transition team claim he was actually fired, which doesn’t really happen that often in government.

Now Christie is just one of several vice-chairs, with Pence taking over the top spot.

While Trump’s spokespeople are claiming this shake up isn’t a major setback the transition team has yet to contact the departments of Defense, Justice, State and Homeland Security despite spokespeople for the agencies saying they are ready to help once contacted.

In what some are claiming is retaliation for being demoted Christie’s people let slip that Donald Trump told the New Jersey Governor months after he launched his presidential campaign in 2015 that he did not expect to stay in the race past October of that year and that he would endorse Christie when he dropped out.

But this is just the last straw in Christie’s terrible political career. In fact, the transition role looked like a lifeline out of New Jersey for Christie. His popularity among his constituents has sunk into the teens. Poll results released on November 7, 2016 stated that 19% of New Jersey voters viewed Christie favorably That’s his lowest approval rating ever.

The Bridgegate scandal and trial, took up most of the final month of the campaign. Christie’s former aides claim he knew about the “traffic study” that caused those giant jams during his re-election effort in 2013 and most people in New Jersey believe that to be true.

His attempt at putting a casino in Jersey City and the Meadowland was squashed in a ballot question during the election with 80% of New Jerseyans voting against it.

And his past career as governor has really upset a lot of people on multiple issues. In June 2013, Christie vetoed an animal welfare bill introduced by the Humane Society to prohibit the use of gestation crates on pregnant pigs. The bill had passed in the General Assembly with a vote of 60–5 and the Senate 29–4 but Christie still vetoed it. A 2013 survey showed 91% of New Jersey voters supported the legislation to ban gestation crates.

Christie is finally getting what’s due to him. No career in Washington and his home state that hates him passionately.

You said Steve Bannon was possibly a White Supremes…. I read all that he is accused of yet I can’t see it. One of which he wanted to know if there was enough Jewish kids in his day care center. Well he sent his kid there and he isn’t Jewish which he claimed he wanted his kid to be more rounded. But yes about Christies and his associates. I think its a good idea for Trump to .stay away from Christie. Just by Christie’s popularity alone. But I am not really sure Trump wanted Christie. It was all media cause Christie was around him often. But again I am not sure he was a lock ever.
