Peep and the Big Wide World

NJN1: Saturdays @ 7:00 am

What’s Peep and the Big Wide World?

Peep and the Big Wide World / Pocoyo follows the adventures of a newly hatched chick named Peep, a smart and sassy robin (Chirp), an endearing duck (Quack) and an extended family of friends and occasional foes.

Each half-hour episode contains two animated stories highlighting specific science or math concepts, plus two live-action segments of real kids exploring science and math in everyday places. The series takes place in and around a large urban park—a place of great wonder and mystery, a place the characters call “the big wide world,” a place they are forever eager to explore.

Each PEEP episode also features a seven-minute Pocoyo segment, a delightful story of a curious young boy and his animal friends that encourages pre-schoolers to learn through laughter and play.

This season, the animals learn about sand, plants, food, animal behavior and patterns, counting, collecting and shapes.
