OVERVIEW
The intent of this project is to promote global awareness by discovering the many ways that people, places and things can be the same and can be different, and allows children to use technology to explore, create, communicate and collaborate. Content from Sesame Workshop’s Global Grover is used as a common thread. Grover, the globetrotting blue Muppet, encourages children to develop cultural awareness and an appreciation for the differences and similarities they share with others. TIPS FOR CREATING STORIES
As seen in the examples available for viewing, the stories can be made up of video footage or still photos. Video footage can be edited with simple editing software, and effects and transitions are not necessary, but recommended. Recording the student's audio is very important. Try to make sure the levels are the same, and each student has a photo or video to represent them when they are speaking.
Videos should be no longer than 6 minutes each. Since files may vary in size, we recommend that a CD or DVD is created and sent to us for use on the site. File formats recommended include:
- WMV (Windows Media)
- MOV (Quicktime)
- FLV (Flash)
- AVI
- MPEG
