Bonaparte’s Retreat

Thank you for your interest in joining us at the NJN Reception and Special Screening for Bonaparte’s Retreat in Bordentown on May 15th. Space is limited and due to an enthusiastic response, we have closed registration for this event.

Be sure to watch this new State of the Arts film as it airs on NJN Friday May 22 at 8:30 pm with an encore performance Wednesday, May 27 at 11:30 pm.

Napoleon’s older brother Joseph Bonaparte escaped to New Jersey after his brother’s downfall at Waterloo. He brought extraordinary wealth, lived like a king, and became one of the most famous Frenchman in America. Bonaparte's Retreat tells the story of Joseph’s relationship with his famous brother, his escape to America, and the impact he had on America’s fascination with all things French. Jackie “O”, Sigmund Freud and a host of other characters make appearances.
