Toni
Morrison's Atelier & Barbara Cook
We go backstage
with Broadway legend Barbara Cook. Her many fans say
she's the greatest singer alive today--and quite a few
critics agree. In the 50's and 60's, she was Broadway's
favorite ingenue --- Think "Candide", "The Music Man",
and "She Loves Me." Now in her 70s, Barbara Cook
has added warmth and wisdom to the sweetness and light.

And, our
cameras visit Nobel Prize winning writer, Toni Morrison,
at Princeton University to take a closer look at her
program, the Princeton Atelier. French for artist's
studio, Atelier, is a one-of-a-kind program where professional
guest artists spend a semester developing a new project
in collaboration with Princeton students, who may or
may not have an artistic background. Guest artists this
year include medieval a capella singers the Anonymous
4, Director Susana Tubert and poet Alicia Ostriker and
percussionist Evelyn Glennie.
