wrapped in pride: the story of kente

Once the mantle of African kings, kente cloth has become a familiar pattern in contemporary American culture. This half-hour documentary, inspired by the landmark exhibit at The Newark Museum, looks at how kente crossed the Atlantic from the West-African Republic of Ghana and found its way into everyday American life.
