NJN is committed
to programming that is diverse, and we welcome a variety of production
styles and talent that represents the diverse communities in our state. We are looking for well-told stories that
have "value added" impact. Value added is defined
as impact of the program beyond broadcast, including such
elements as outreach, promotion materials, educational benefits,
and content that can be used in multiple platforms such as TV,
radio and the Web.
NJN is especially
interested in programs that are informative; educational as
well as entertaining; for and about New Jersey. Proposed programs may include such
topics as Arts and Culture, Social Issues, Health and Science,
History, Environment, Education, Public Affairs, and Children's
programming.
Proposals should
include a Working Title, Rationale, Program Description, Goals
and Objectives, Key Personnel, Marketing Strategies and
a Budget Summary.
Note: As of
January 1, 2006, 100 percent of the program
distributors' new programming must be captioned. Therefore, NJN requires producers to deliver
only closed captioned programs.
