HOPE FOR HAITI NOW on NJN1

STATEWIDE – NJN will broadcast the global telethon Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief tomorrow night. Wyclef Jean, George Clooney and CNN's Anderson Cooper host MTV Networks' HOPE FOR HAITI NOW to air commercial-free across PBS, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, the CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT on Friday, January 22, at 8 pm.

The telethon will be hosted by Clooney in Los Angeles, Jean in New York and Cooper in Haiti. All donations will directly benefit Oxfam America, Partners in Health, Red Cross, UNICEF and Wyclef's Yele Haiti Foundation.

Musical performers include Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Madonna, Shakira and Sting in New York; Haitian artist Emeline Michel, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift and a group performance by Keith Urban, Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow in Los Angeles; and Beyoncé, Coldplay and a group performance by Bono, The Edge, Jay-Z and Rihanna in London.

In addition to musical performances, Hope for Haiti Now also will feature President Bill Clinton, Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt, Robert Pattinson, Will Smith, Leonardo DiCaprio, Muhammad Ali, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Clint Eastwood, Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Jon Stewart, Matt Damon, Morgan Freeman, Nicole Kidman, Samuel L. Jackson and more than 100 of the biggest names in film, television and music.
