This February*, ANTIQUES ROADSHOW  touches down in Atlantic City, then detours to the Wheaton Arts Center in Millville, New Jersey, where appraiser Arlie Sulka looks at some beautiful old American paperweights and host Mark L. Walberg tries his hand at glass blowing. Highlights include a Walt Whitman memoir inscribed by the author to a group of firefighters; a late 19th-century bronze and marble statue by the acclaimed French sculptor Albert Ernest Carrier Belleuse; and an oil painting by acclaimed 19th-century Canadian artist Cornelius Krieghoff, noted for portraying narrative-like scenes, valued at $200,000 to $350,000.

Part adventure, part history lesson, and part treasure hunt, seven-time Emmy® Award-nominated  ANTIQUES ROADSHOW  marks its 14th season in 2010. PBS's highest-rated series, Roadshow is seen by almost 10 million viewers each week. Veteran television personality Mark L. Walberg serves as series host. In each hour-long episode, specialists from the country's leading auction houses — The Rago Arts & Auction Center, Bonhams and Butterfields, Christie's, Doyle New York, Skinner and Sotheby's — and independent dealers from across the nation offer free appraisals of antiques and collectibles. ANTIQUES ROADSHOW’s cameras capture tales of family heirlooms, yard sale bargains and long-lost items salvaged from attics and basements, while experts reveal the fascinating truths about these finds. The series' season premiere includes ROADSHOW's first-ever million-dollar find and sets the pace for one of the most unpredictable lineups ever. ANTIQUES ROADSHOW is produced for PBS by WGBH Boston. Executive producer is Marsha Bemko.

Marsha Bemko's television career spans more than 20 years. In addition to helming seven-time Emmy Award-nominated ANTIQUES ROADSHOW, Bemko was executive producer of the companion series, ANTIQUES ROADSHOW FYI. Prior to joining ROADSHOW as senior producer in 1999, Bemko worked on a variety of WGBH-produced public affairs programs for PBS. She was WGBH's coordinating producer for national programming and the series producer for Culture Shock (1999), a historical series about censorship in the arts and freedom of expression, produced by WGBH Boston and broadcast nationally on PBS. Bemko served as coordinating producer for Discovering Women (1995), a series about six women scientists. She produced, wrote, and directed on-air promos for the award-winning Frontline public affairs series and was a Frontline associate producer for six years beginning in 1982.

Since 1994, THE RAGO ARTS & AUCTION CENTER has served thousands of sellers and buyers with a singular blend of global reach and personal service. First specializing in 20th century design, Rago’s expertise now covers centuries of fine art, decorative arts, furnishings, jewelry and ethnographic artifacts.

  • David Rago began dealing in American decorative ceramics at a flea market in his home state of New Jersey when he was sixteen years old. Today, he oversees the auction house that bears his name, is an author who lectures nationally and an expert appraiser in early 20th Century design for the PBS series, ANTIQUES ROADSHOW.
  • Suzanne Perrault heads the Rago Arts and Auction Center’s cataloguing department and co-directs its Early 20th Century sales. She is an expert appraiser for the hit PBS series, ANTIQUES ROADSHOW. Her specialty is the art tile, an interest inspired by the work adorning the walls of New York’s subway stations.

BUCKS LIFE has redefined a region and created a genre by publishing a regional magazine with an international perspective. In its five years of existence, Bucks Life has carved a formidable niche and cemented itself into the New York to Philadelphia landscape.  Warm and sophisticated, Hamilton’s Grill Room’s romantic dining experience is drenched with European charm. The restaurant overlooks the Delaware and Raritan Canal and is surrounded by antique shops and art galleries. Hamilton’s Grill Room is rated “Excellent” by Zagats and called “A standout . . . top marks” by the New York Times.
