The race for governor is shaping up to be one of the tightest and most closely watched in the nation.NJN News will provide comprehensive coverage of the 2009 election with the latest returns and complete live coverage from the campaign headquarters of the gubernatorial candidates as well as the headquarters of the candidates in some of the key assembly contests. Live coverage begins at 8 pm with senior anchor Jim Hooker, senior political correspondent Michael Aron and the NJN News team and airs simultaneously on NJN Public Radio and is web cast at njn.net. Post-election coverage can be found Fridays and weekends on On the Record and Reporters Roundtable as well as online all the time at www.njn.net.
Analysts include Patrick Murray, Monmouth University, and Brigid Harrison, Montclair State University. Democratic commentators include former Senator Bob Torricelli, Julie Roginsky and Michael Murphy; and Republican commentators include former Governor Donald DiFrancesco, Roger Bodman and Senator Jennifer Beck.
