STATEWIDE – Daniel O’Donnell Live From Branson showcases an array of dazzling stars, performing some of their greatest hits, live from the Tri-Lakes Center in the heart of the theatre district in Branson, Missouri. Daniel O’Donnell, an enormous success in the Irish/Country music genre, hosts Live From Branson, airing on NJN on Saturday, December 4, at 8 pm, and Wednesday, December 8, at 8 pm. O’Donnell welcomes stars like Charley Pride, Pam Tillis, The Gatlin Brothers, JoAnn Castle and the Lennon Sisters. The show also features special duets with long-time friend/performer Mary Duff.

O’Donnell is the recipient of numerous accolades for his services to the music industry. “My sister Margaret – better known in Ireland as the singer Margo – has had a big influence on my career,” says O’Donnell. Singing in a band at the tender age of 12, his older sister was his initial source of inspiration. O’Donnell’s big break came after a 1983 recording of My Donegal Shore by Johnny McCauley. An international success story, O’Donnell’s popularity has spread from Ireland to New Zealand and Australia, as well as Germany and the United States.

The Gatlin Brothers, Larry, Steve and Rudy, started off their careers singing in their hometown of Abilene, Texas. Over the course of four decades, they have performed at the White House, on Broadway, at the Grammy Awards and now public television. For over thirty years Charley Pride, with his golden baritone voice, has remained one of the top 20 best-selling county music artists of all time. He continues his incredible legacy of 36 number one hit singles and over 70 million albums sold. The Lennon Sisters are “America’s Sweethearts of Song.” Dee Dee, Kathy, Janet and Mimi have performed for six United States Presidents and have made appearances on virtually every variety show on television including 13 glorious years on The Lawrence Welk Show.

Daniel O’Donnell Live from Branson is the performer’s fourth special to air on public television stations following the popularity of Daniel O’Donnell Songs of Faith. This four-hour event is the first public television special with O’Donnell to be recorded in the United States.
