CRUZ: A QUEEN REMEMBERED

- The Queen of Salsa, Celia Cruz, talks about her life, the
music industry and her fans in an exclusive interview from
1986 on the story behind the star. Join us as fans and friends
remember the world's most famous female Salsa singer, the
charming, graceful and modest super star, Celia Cruz, who
died July 16, 2003. The program airs Thursday, October
30, at 6:30 pm on NJN; rebroadcast dates Sunday, November
2, at noon.
Ms. Cruz provided
NJN's Images/Imagenes a candid interview in
1986 that stands today as monument to the insight and thoughts
of a super star on a mission to thank her fans for the wonderful
career they gave her in the entertainment business. What makes
this television special unique is a quiz testing the audience's
knowledge of Celia Cruz. Questions will appear on the television
screen with follow-up answers. This will be an opportunity
for Celia Cruz fans to test their knowledge of the Queen of
Salsa.

This documentary takes a look at the history of this tropical
island paradise.
