Carlos Migoya

Carlos Migoya is the newly appointed CEO for Wachovia’s Atlantic Region, which includes New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. He joined Wachovia in 1974 and currently provides executive leadership to all retail, commercial and small business banking and community activities in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. A native of Guanabacoa, Cuba, Mr. Migoya grew up in Clifton, New Jersey and moved to Miami, Florida in 1963. While in Florida, Mr. Migoya was Chairman of the Miami Dade County Cultural Affairs Council; Co-Chairman, United Way of Miami-Dade; President and Co-Founder of the Downtown Miami Charter School; Treasurer, Downtown Development Authority; and Chairman of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Migoya holds an M.B.A. as well as a B.S. in finance from Florida International University. Currently, he resides in New York City.

Mr. Migoya was elected to the NJN Foundation Board of Trustees on August 29, 2006.
