Albert R. Gamper Jr.

Retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for The CIT Group, Al is a graduate of Rutgers University and a lifelong resident of New Jersey. Gamper is actively involved in the State's community affairs. He is Chairman of the Board of St. Barnabas Health Care Systems, a member of the Board of Governors of Rutgers University and a director of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Mr. Gamper is also a director of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce and a member of Partnership for New Jersey and the Finance Council of the Archdiocese of Newark. Under Mr. Gamper's leadership, CIT become a significant patron of and partner to public broadcasting. The company has sponsored national, regional and local programming. During the past several years, CIT has partnered with NJN on a number of public affairs programs including Gubernatorial and Senatorial debates. Mr. Gamper is a founding member of the NJN Foundation Board of Trustees.
